A Glimpse into the Life of a OneSpirit Interfaith Minister: Caroline Lennon
My name is Caroline Lennon, and I serve as a OneSpirit Minister in a small coastal town in County Dublin, Ireland. Ordained in 2020 through the OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation, I began a new chapter devoted to compassion, inclusivity, and service—seeking to create spaces where all voices are heard and celebrated.
A Ministry of Storytelling: Rev. David Gray
My ministry is one of telling stories. My speciality is the stories of people and animals that are often overlooked. As well as reading stories, I tell stories and write stories. Income from my ministry and sales of my books enable me to plant fruit trees in memory of those whose stories I tell as a funeral celebrant, and to support vulnerable people, such as offering memory workshops to the forgetful.
Foundations For Spiritual Practice
Being of service without inner balance leads to exhaustion and sometimes to a deep-seated feeling of resentment and maybe frustration. The shadow of spiritual practice can result in superiority and the tendency to ‘spiritually bypass’ events that might demand a very visceral empathic response.
Unveiling the Essence of Interfaith Worship
Each faith tradition resembles a distinct well, drawing from the underground river of shared spiritual essence. These wells, though unique in beliefs and practices, are interconnected by our collective pursuit of truth and meaning.
10 Things I Wish I’d Known Before Making Spirituality My Career
This is a great point along my timeline to share what I’ve learned so far as an advanced-beginner, in hopes that you can receive some assurances from my own experience, know that you’re not alone, avoid some of my pitfalls, and receive some encouragement, too.
Spirituality in a Time of Collapse
We humans have already gone too far, and momentum is too great, to avoid breakdown and collapse. We are already in profound overshoot – stealing from future generations and disrupting wellbeing for all life. We can continue this way for only a short while longer.
The Spirituality of Breastfeeding
Humans need loving care to feel connected. The more we are loved as babies and young children, the easier it is for us to love ourselves, our fellow humans and God. Good loving forms emotionally stable adults who do not fear intimacy and intimacy is the bedrock of human thriving.
Our Need to Belong
Within OSMIC we refer to ‘stages of development’. We recognise that through time the values, leadership models and key emotional drivers have changed with each new paradigm.
Finding Truth in Pandemic Polarities
Anne Cross reflects after being in circle with other Ministers musing on the pandemic wellness debate.
Interfaith Complexity
When I sit with a mantra just learned from the Hindu faith path, I’m blessed to sit with the millennia of wisdom that inhabits the mantra, and with grace it might soften my edges, allowing this new experience to refresh my own story and understanding of the divine.

Material Manifestation
As we prepared for the One Spirit Ministers in Connection gathering in March 2021, a suggestion was made for something to be created to represent the weekend. The vision was of combining words and textile to capture the essence of the meeting in a piece that could be retained post-event.
Teal Organisational Structures & OSMIC
Video recorded at a recent OSMIC workshop – Anne Cross describing teal organisational structures in relation to OSMIC.
Stepping into Authenticity & Connection
It should not be a surprise to sit to write this and reflect that I am living my Personal Statement of Ministry. Being guided by all that came to me before my ordination in 2019. Checking in with those words and my vow regularly feels a vital and indeed necessary part of navigating this path.
Ministry Unfolding
Like many of us, I thought when I began my One Spirit training that it would mainly lead to creating ceremonies. It ended up being so much more!
Kindness, connection, and community at Bala Brook
Kindness is at the very heart of Nickie Aven’s ministry deep in the beautiful lands of Dartmoor in SW England. I had a chat with her, interested in the work she is doing in co-managing the Bala Brook retreat centre.
From the Amazon to the Beloved
In 2012 I was invited to a retreat in the Amazon Rainforest, where we were led by shamans to sing together as a community. Our songs were devoted to the great mother. They named their songs Icaros. Icaros are songs the shamans sing to heal during a ceremony. The term that may be used also is medicine songs.
